Soon Suk Kim

Soon Suk Kim has a diverse background in IT infrastructure and cloud computing. Soon Suk started their career as a Web Developer and System Engineer at Golden Net Co., Ltd. from 1999 to 2000, where they developed and managed web hosting services. Soon Suk then worked at InfoDB from 2000 to 2004, where they continued their role as a Web Developer and System Engineer, focusing on developing and customizing websites.

In 2004, Soon Suk Kim joined NCSOFT as the Global Director of Service & Infrastructure Engineering, where they led the launching projects of NCSOFT games to various subsidiaries and partners worldwide. Soon Suk also built the infrastructure for game publishing and provided infrastructure consultation and support for partners in multiple countries.

From 2012 to 2014, they served as the Director of Infrastructure Engineering at NCSOFT's US branch and managed infrastructure for live game service operation in North America and Europe. In 2014, Kim became the Head of IT Infrastructure Engineering at NCSOFT, where they built a Private Cloud using Openstack for the company's data center and office.

Since 2017, Kim has been working at Gmarket as the Head of Cloud Computing & Infrastructure Engineering. Soon Suk'sresponsibilities include infrastructure engineering for e-commerce services, running multiple data centers and a public cloud, virtualizing servers, and performing data center transformation.

Throughout their career, Soon Suk Kim has gained expertise in cloud computing, IT infrastructure management, virtualization, and building and managing infrastructure for game publishing.

Soon Suk Kim holds a Bachelor's degree in Astronomy and Space Science from Kyung Hee University.
