Emmanuele Bassi

Emmanuele Bassi is an experienced software developer currently working at Igalia since October 2022 in the Core Team. With a long-standing association with the GNOME Foundation since May 2006, Emmanuele serves as a member and has held roles including GTK Core Developer, responsible for the development of GTK and the GNOME application platform, and Director of the Board for three years, where management of meeting documentation was a key responsibility. Emmanuele has also contributed to the GNOME Project as a maintainer for gnome-utils and has held senior engineering positions at Endless, Mozilla Corporation, Intel Corporation, and OpenedHand, with a strong focus on software development, performance improvement, and integration of free software projects. Educational credentials include degrees from Università degli Studi di Milano and Politecnico di Milano.
