Travis G. has a wide range of experience in the field of information technology, spanning over a decade. Travis began their career as a Power Monitoring Systems Intern at Applied Power Technologies, Inc., where they developed databases and created reports for a semiconductor company. Travis then worked as a Business Systems Intern at REC Solar, utilizing Oracle ERP to improve transactional efficiency.

Travis then transitioned to the role of an Integrations Consultant at Aggressor LLC, where they designed, built, and tested various Workday integrations for customers. Travis also led XML/XSLT training sessions to assist customers in developing in-house integrations.

Their career then took him to Deloitte Consulting, where they worked as an Integrations Consultant and Technical Trainer. In this role, they designed and built custom Workday Studio integrations and served as the integration lead for developing a ground-breaking email responses system using custom Java mail handlers.

Travis later joined Appirio as an Integrations Consultant Technical Team Lead, where they further honed their expertise in integrations. Travis then moved on to Yelp, working as an IT Engineer and leading integrations and data reporting efforts. Travis implemented various Workday modules and developed custom integrations to optimize processes.

Travis then joined Airbnb, where they held multiple roles over a span of five years. Travis started as a Cloud Integration Engineer, playing a key role in establishing the Enterprise Service Bus and API Gateway. Travis then became a Senior Integrations Engineer, leading a team responsible for integrating services and selecting and implementing the Mulesoft integration platform. Later, they transitioned to the role of Senior Systems Engineer, deploying applications on AWS and shaping the company's DevOps practice. Lastly, they served as a Systems Operations Manager, overseeing the continuous operation of internal tools and SaaS applications while prioritizing automation and infrastructure as code.

Currently, Travis is the Director of Information Technology at Teleport. In this role, they manage the IT department, supporting the hyper-scale growth of the organization. Travis is responsible for corporate security, managing core infrastructure on AWS and GCP, and developing programs for onboarding and helpdesk support. Travis also actively participates in blogging and speaking at conferences to advocate for GitOps and applying DevOps principles to IT management.

Throughout their career, Travis has consistently taken on leadership roles, implemented innovative solutions, and contributed to the growth and success of the organizations they have worked for.

Travis G. completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they studied from 2006 to 2011. In 2018, they also obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services.
