Mertcan Uzun

Mertcan Uzun has a diverse work experience spanning a variety of roles and industries. Mertcan began their career as an International Patient Services Operation Intern at Acibadem Healthcare Group in 2013. In 2015, they worked as a Recruiter at VonChurch, Inc. specializing in the Digital Entertainment Industry. From 2016 to 2018, they held roles at homify, first as a Junior Recruitment Manager and then as a Talent Acquisition Manager. In 2018, they joined DCMN as a Talent Acquisition Specialist and later as a Global Talent Acquisition Specialist. Since 2019, Mertcan has been working at Blinkist, where they have held various positions including Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, Senior Manager in People & Culture, Interim Head of Talent Acquisition, and currently as Director of Culture & Community, DEI. In 2023, they will transition to a similar role at Go1. Throughout their career, Mertcan has demonstrated a strong focus on culture, community building, diversity and inclusion, recruitment, and talent management.

Mertcan UZUN completed their education with a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Sociology from Freie Universität Berlin from 2014-2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Relations and Political Science from Marmara University, which they attended from 2009 to 2014. In 2012, they studied International Relations and Political Science with a focus on European Studies at Jagiellonian University. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Agile Fundamentals: Scrum & Kanban from The Agile Coach LLC and Agile for Project Control from the University System of Maryland, both in the year 2020.
