Hain-Lee Hsueh has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 2006, they were an Intern at American Alpha Inc., where they tested circuit boards and reported hardware issues to quality assurance. In 2007, they were a Student Web Developer at Stratplace, where they worked with a small team of Cornell students to help with the backend of a business portal website. Hain-Lee was also a Software Engineer Intern at Cisco Systems and an Intern at Motion Math. In 2009, they were an Applications Engineer at Oracle. In 2012, they were a Teaching Assistant for CS193P, iPhone and iPad Application Programming at Stanford University, a Frontend Developer at LearningJar, and a Lead Software Engineer at Goalbook, where they were responsible for full stack development with an emphasis on front-end design, prototyping, and interaction.

Hain-Lee Hsueh received a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University between 2005 and 2009. Hain-Lee then received an MA in Learning, Design, and Technology from Stanford University between 2011 and 2012.
