CARMEN PRIETO

Carmen Prieto has been working in the professional field since 1998. CARMEN began their career as a Coach Job Counselor for several public organizations, providing support to people in their search for a new job, as well as being an advisor specializing in maintenance for interviews and project advisor to entrepreneurs. In 2002, they became the Director of the Local Development Consortium, managing and organizing the center, as well as organizing human capital, planning and monitoring territorial and economic objectives, and budget management. In 2007, they began working at Cordoba University as an Associate Professor, teaching classes and preparing teaching material in the fields of Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Structure of the Labor Market, and Making Public. In 2009, they became the Deputy Director at Instituto Cervantes, managing projects, people, and resources, as well as performing strategic analysis and planning and monitoring cultural, academic, and economic projects. In 2010, they were appointed as the Economic Delegate for the Regional Government, promoting an entrepreneurial culture and social economy, as well as performing representation and protocol functions. In 2016, they became a Limited Partner - Business Angel for Rising Tide Europe, a global movement to promote the participation of women in investment projects, and also became a Business Angel for Go Beyond Investing, investing in early-stage companies.

Carmen Prieto has a comprehensive educational background. CARMEN obtained their Licenciatura en Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales from Universidad de Málaga in 1990-1995. CARMEN then completed an Erasmus program at Aix-Marseille University in 1994-1995. In 1997-1999 they obtained their Higher Degree in Rural Development from Universidad de Córdoba. In 2001-2003 they obtained an Advanced Studies Diploma in European Union Economics from Universidad de Córdoba. In 2013-2016 they obtained their Doctorado in Economía Aplicada from Universidad de Málaga. In 2014 they started a MASTER RECURSOS HUMANOS from EAE Business School. In 2018-2019 they obtained a Formación Coaching from ARCOM CANADÁ in Gestión de recursos humanos/Administración de personal, general. In 2022 they will obtain their Gestión de Proyectos y Organizaciones from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Gestión de proyectos.
