Maria Sofia Dunin-Borkowski is a professional with extensive experience in natural infrastructure and land management. Currently serving as a Specialist in Natural Infrastructure for the Hydraulic Plan of the Piura Region within the Gobierno Regional Piura, responsibilities include updating the Ecological and Economic Zoning of Piura. With a tenure at Universidad de Piura since 2002, Maria Sofia teaches Master's courses in Water Resources and contributes to technical drawing and Geographic Information Systems instruction. Past engagements include consulting roles on land use changes in the Piura region for various organizations, as well as coordinating projects focused on ecosystem service recovery.
