Joseph Southan

Joseph Southan started their work experience in 2008 as a Senior Sales Assistant at Greggs, where they worked until 2014. During this time, they also served as a Retail Support Administrator. In 2014, they joined Claimable Ltd as a Software Engineer, where they maintained and implemented new features for a Rails 3.2 application. Joseph also created reports using MongoDB's aggregation framework. In the same year, they joined Rentify as a Software Engineer, where they worked until 2017. At Rentify, they served as a full stack software engineer, working with various technologies including Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, and React/Redux. Joseph implemented features such as Stripe payments and AWS services. Since 2017, Joseph has been working at GoCardless, initially as a Software Engineer and later transitioning to roles of Technical Lead and Senior Software Engineer.

Joseph Southan has a diverse educational background. Joseph obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Bioinformatics with Systems Biology from Birkbeck, University of London from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Medical Genetics at Queen Mary University of London from 2008 to 2012. Joseph's education journey started at St Ignatius College, where they pursued their early education from 2001 to 2008, although the specific degree and field of study during this time are not provided.
