Mathieu Bergeron has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Mathieu started their career as a Geophysical Project Manager at Rosebel Gold Mine in 2005. In 2007, they became an Engineering Manager at PhasOptx, where they worked on optical fibers components and their applications in different industries. Mathieu then transitioned to working as a Conseiller en Gestion de Projet Télécom - Fibre Optique at R3D from 2009 to 2010. Mathieu then joined TELUS Communications in 2010 as a Chargé Principal de Programmes, where they were responsible for analyzing and creating business plans for fiber optic infrastructure deployment. In 2015, they were promoted to Directeur Principal - Développement Stratégique. In this role, they managed the strategic deployment of fiber optic infrastructures in different provinces and was involved in business development and contract management. Mathieu continued to work at TELUS Communications until 2018. In 2020, Mathieu Bergeron joined GoCo as the VP Marketing, produits et stratégie.

Mathieu Bergeron earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Victoria in 2015-2017. Prior to that, they studied Physics Engineering at Université Laval from 2000-2005. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in ISO 20000 and ITIL V.3 Foundation from Exin.
