Mike Burde, Ph.D., currently serves as the Superintendent of Godfrey-Lee Public Schools since January 2022. Prior to this role, Mike Burde was the Deputy Superintendent at Kenowa Hills Public Schools from February 2012 to December 2021. An extensive career in education includes positions such as Director of Instruction and Technology, Elementary Principal, and High School Assistant Principal at Belding Area Schools from August 2004 to February 2012, along with experience as Middle School Athletic Director and Teacher at Ionia Public Schools from August 2001 to June 2004. Mike Burde obtained a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration from Western Michigan University, completing studies from 2008 to 2016, following a Master of Arts in the same field from 2002 to 2005, and a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from Spring Arbor University in 2001. Educational foundations began at Newaygo High School and continued through Grand Valley State University.
