Tapan Pati

Tapan Pati serves as the EVP & Group General Counsel at Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd. since May 2023, leading a robust legal team that supports diverse businesses across multiple industries in India and globally. Previously, Tapan held the position of Director Legal and Executive Director at Johnson & Johnson, overseeing legal affairs for the South Asia pharmaceutical markets. Tapan's extensive experience includes roles as Director & Legal Counsel India at Hilton Worldwide, where contract negotiations for hotel acquisitions were led, and Legal Counsel for Yum! Brands, managing commercial contracts for its brands in India. Tapan's legal career began as a Counsel at Lex Regis Law Offices, followed by significant roles at Luthra & Luthra Law Offices and Andersen Legal, focusing on M&A, private equity deals, and corporate law. Tapan holds a BA LLB (Hons) degree from the National Law School of India University.
