Alex Trueman

Alex Trueman has a diverse work experience in the mining industry. Alex started their career as a Student at Dominion Mining in 1990. Alex then worked as a Contract Geologist at MIM in 1993. From 1993 to 1996, Alex worked as a Geologist at AQC (Wilkie Creek) Pty Ltd, where they managed coal stockpile and conducted exploration drilling programs. Alex then joined WMC Resources Ltd as a Mine Geologist, where they provided geological services and prepared reports for Victory, Britannia-Sirius, and Junction Gold Mines. Alex was later promoted to Senior Mine Geologist at Junction Gold Mine, responsible for managing geological functions, including safety and exploration. In 2001, they joined Gold Fields Ltd as a Senior Resource Geologist for the St Ives Gold Mine. Alex was later promoted to Resource Development Manager, overseeing Mineral Resource Development and Mine Geology. In 2003, they joined Snowden Mining Industry Consultants Inc. as a Senior Consultant, responsible for Mineral Resource evaluation and training. Alex was later promoted to Principal Consultant and then Divisional Manager, managing resource evaluation consulting for the Americas. In 2009, they became the Chief Resource Geologist at GOLD FIELDS, leading the Resource Geology Team and providing expert evaluations and advice for global exploration projects. Alex Trueman has demonstrated their expertise in resource evaluation, geological management, and risk analysis throughout their career.

Alex Trueman obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science degree with a major in Geology from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) in 1991. Alex then pursued further education and completed a B.Sc. (Honours) degree in Geology from The University of Queensland in 1992. Alex also holds additional certifications, including MAusIMM(CP) from AusIMM and P.Geo. from Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
