Cornelius Tarai

Cornelius Tarai is a highly experienced mining engineer with significant expertise in mine planning and production roles. Currently serving as Senior Engineer - Mine Planning at Gold Fields since August 2019, Cornelius has previously held senior positions at Ok Tedi Mining Limited and Rio Tinto, focusing on medium and short-term planning, development of mine plans, and design activities. With a career spanning over two decades, Cornelius has successfully managed teams, developed effective mine designs, and delivered comprehensive reports to stakeholders. Cornelius holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering from PNG University of Technology, obtained between 1992 and 1995.
