Esra Erkal-Paler

Esra Erkal-Paler currently serves as the EVP Global Communications at Elsevier since December 2019 and has held the position of Chairman at the British Skin Foundation since November 2011, where Esra is a non-executive director of a prominent research charity associated with the British Association of Dermatologists. Previous roles include Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Coty, Head of Global External Communications at AstraZeneca, Director of Policy, Communications & Marketing at the Advertising Standards Authority, and Advisory Board Member at TLG Partners. Esra's earlier experience encompasses director-level positions in corporate communications at L'Oreal and Unilever, as well as a consulting role at Burson-Marsteller. Esra holds a BA Hons in International Relations and Politics from the University of Sussex and has a foundational education from Lycee Saint Benoit.
