Shira Kelmanovich is the Director of STEM Education at Golda Och Academy. Previously, Shira served as the STEM Coordinator and Teacher at the same institution. Prior to that, Shira conducted graduate research on Dual Responsive Polymer Hydrogels at Stanford University. Shira also worked on Undergraduate Research on Silica Aerogels for Chemical Sensor Platforms at Union College. Shira holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University, and Bachelor of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Chemistry from Union College.
