Kate Lovas

Kate Lovas currently serves as a Congressional Affairs Specialist at the U.S. Department of State, beginning this role in February 2023. Prior to this position, Kate worked as a Senior Public Policy Analyst at Venable LLP, focusing on privacy, data security, and cybersecurity legislation. Kate's experience includes multiple internships at the U.S. Department of State, where responsibilities ranged from mapping influencer networks to conducting research for historic diplomacy simulations. Additional roles include serving as a research assistant at Penn State Law and as an intern in congressional offices. Kate Lovas holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Politics from Penn State University and has a strong background in policy analysis, legislative research, and communication.
