Kim Moody

Kim Moody has a wealth of experience in leadership roles within the insurance industry. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Claims at Golden Bear Insurance Company. Prior to this, they worked at AXIS Capital for six years as the Head of Complex P & C Claims, where they managed a large team and was responsible for litigation strategy, reserving, trial, and settlement of high-value claims. Before that, they were an AVP at ACE USA, overseeing complex catastrophic bodily injury and property damage claims. Kim also has experience as a Senior Claims Adjuster at Chartis, where they managed claims related to pollution, and as an Attorney at Rubin Fiorella & Friedman, focusing on insurance defense litigation. Kim started their career as an Attorney at Tell Cheser & Brietbart, representing insurance companies in litigation and investigating fraudulent claims. Additionally, Kim has experience in the legal field outside the insurance industry, including serving as an Assistant District Attorney at the Office of the District Attorney, Kings County, and as a Law Clerk at the Legal Aid Bureau. Kim also has government experience, having worked as a Program Analyst at the United States Environmental Protection Agency and as an Intern at the President's Council on Sustainable Development.

Kim Moody has a strong educational background. In 1993, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude, in History from SUNY at Stony Brook. Kim pursued further education and from 1998 to 2001, they attended the University of Baltimore School of Law, where they obtained a Juris Doctor degree, Cum Laude.
