The founding team at Golden Gate Ventures has a history of working in startups and venture capital. They have also been involved in fellowship programs, such as the Edmund Hillary Fellowship, and have served on the investment committees of firms such as LuneX Ventures. In addition, they have served on the boards of companies such as H2, Rukita, Carro Singapore, and HipVan. They have also been involved in management programs at esteemed business schools such as USC, MIT Sloan, and Harvard Business School.
