Mr Tang Weihann (Malaysian, age 38) joined the Board of GLBHD on 5 October 2018. He also serves GLBHD as a member of the Audit and Risk Management Committee, Nomination Committee and Remuneration Committee.
He is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“MICPA”) and Certified Public Accountants Australia.
He graduated from Monash University in Melbourne with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in both accounting and finance.
He has more than 8 years’ experience in the financial sector. He began his career with Messrs Ernst & Young Malaysia covered clientele from plantations, oil and gas and retail industries, subsequently he joined RHB Investment Bank Berhad, in-charge of mergers and acquisitions, valuation and financial advisory assignments and participated in Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad divestment in New Britain Palm Oil Limited.
He is a major shareholder of GLBHD by virtue of his indirect interest in Agromate Holdings Sdn Bhd and Agrobulk Holdings Sdn Bhd (through Tang & Co Sdn Bhd).
Save as disclosed above, he has no family relationship with any other directors or substantial shareholders of the Company. There is no conflict of interest with the Company except for those transactions disclosed on pages 129 to 131 of the Annual Report 2022. Within the past 5 years, he has no conviction for offences.
