Sierra Grossman is a second-generation owner at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., a leader in America’s craft beer industry. Her current position as Vice President, allows her to support Sierra Nevada’s Corporate and Social Responsibility initiatives as well as advocacy and philanthropy -both internally and externally for the company. With a passion for community and collaboration– Sierra looks toward solutions at the crossroads where business and philanthropy meet. Sierra has been involved in the local community in a variety of roles, serving on nonprofit boards focusing on sustainability, local resources, and education. Her current board seats include the Chico Chamber of Commerce, California Craft Brewers Association, and the John Muir Trail Wilderness Conservancy. Sierra graduated from California State University, Chico, with a degree in Health Science.

Golden Valley Bank
In early 2004 several local Chico business people recognized the service void that had been created when three local banks were purchased by larger financial institutions, some headquartered out of state. These mergers created an opportunity for a new locally owned and managed, true community bank run by Directors, Shareholders, Officers and Staff that live in the community. As their idea spread, it was met with overwhelming local approval. The Organizing Group grew to 28 local business and professional people, and the new Community Bank began to take form.
