Regional Sales Manager - Eastern Canada at GoldenEar Technology

David Smith has worked in the Wine and Spirits industry since 2005. David began their career as a Sales Representative for Powerbev Inc., where they were responsible for all facets of On-Premise and Retail LCBO sales, driving distribution and promotional objectives in Eastern Ontario. David then moved on to become the District Sales Manager for the same company, managing a sales team of seven Account Representatives in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec.

In 2011, David Smith began working for Beam Suntory as a Sales Representative, where they specialized in luxury portfolio, account development, staff training, and cocktail design. David then moved on to become the Territory Manager for Brown-Forman in 2017, responsible for all facets of On-Premise and Retail sales.

In 2018, David Smith joined PMA Canada as the On Premise Sales Manager, charged with all facets of On-Premise sales. David then moved on to become the Regional Sales Manager for both AudioQuest and GoldenEar Technology LLP in 2021.

David Smith's education history includes an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) from John Abbott College between 1997 and 2000, as well as six certifications obtained between 2011 and 2021. These include a Smart Serve certification from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario in 2011, a Gold Certified Spirits Trainer certification from Beam Suntory in 2013, a Certified Brown-Forman Media Training certification from Brown-Forman in 2017, a CSS - Certified Specialist of Spirits certification from the Society of Wine Educators in 2017, a WSET Level 2 Intermediate Certificate in Wine & Spirits from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust in 2019, and a WSET Level 2 Professional Certificate in Spirits from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust in 2021.
