Martin P. Derby

Martin P. Derby, P.G., CPG, is an experienced geohazards and engineering professional currently serving as Vice President of Oil and Gas Programs/Geohazards at Golder since September 2022. Previously, Martin worked as Director of Shorelines/Geohazard Mitigation at GeoStabilization International® and held multiple leadership roles at Golder Associates, Applus RTD, Contech Engineered Solutions, and Tams Consultants Inc. Martin's expertise encompasses program development, strategic planning, and business development in various geohazard assessments and mitigation strategies. Martin holds a PhD candidacy in Geohazards from the University at Buffalo, a Master's degree in Geoscience from Montclair State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Geological Sciences from the University at Buffalo, along with an Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Hudson Valley Community College.
