Trudy Copinga

Trudy Copinga is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in asset management and corporate law. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Legal for Asset Management at Goldman Sachs since April 2022, Trudy specializes in creating investment management and advisory agreements as well as navigating regulatory frameworks including MiFID II, AIFMD, UCITS, and SFDR. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at NN Investment Partners from September 2015 to March 2022, where Trudy held roles as Senior Counsel, managing trading documentation, derivatives documentation, securities fraud litigation, and global initiatives for GDPR and MiFID II compliance. Trudy's career began as a Junior Counsel at ING and has included roles as a qualified lawyer and legal intern, enhancing expertise in corporate law, commercial contracting, EU law, and competition. Educational qualifications include multiple law degrees from the University of Groningen, along with postgraduate courses from Radboud University and qualifications from the Dutch Bar Association.
