Sachin Sharma

Sachin Sharma has extensive experience in the financial sector, with a focus on digital lending and business development. Sachin currently serves as the Group Chief Operating Officer at Thriwe since 2022. Prior to that, they were the CEO of nexopay in India from 2021 to 2022, where they addressed education fee payment challenges and collaborated with educational institutions to improve cash flow.

From 2020 to 2020, Sachin worked as the Chief Executive Officer at Quara Finance, managing the NBFC business for Thimar and implementing digital transformation initiatives. Sachin also played a key role in setting up microlending and payments businesses within the family office.

In their previous role as EVP & Head of Digital Lending at RBL Bank from 2018 to 2020, Sachin led the establishment of the digital lending division, focusing on SME digital lending and personal digital lending. Sachin also introduced a unique digital MSME supply chain business to maximize customer acquisition and increase wallet share.

Before that, Sachin held various positions at Religare Finvest Limited (SME Loans) from 2008 to 2018, including Director of Business Development, IT-OPs & Strategic Digital Initiatives and Regional Business Director for SME Loans. Sachin successfully managed a profitable loan book and led a team of 400 employees across sales, credit, collection, operations, and human resources.

Prior to their tenure at Religare Finvest Limited, Sachin worked as a Vice President of Business Loans and Credit Cards at ABN AMRO BANK N.V. from 2005 to 2008. Sachin also served as a Center Manager at ICICI Prudential in Gujarat from 2004 to 2005 and as a Branch Manager at Citifinancial Consumer Finance India Ltd from 1998 to 2004.

Sachin Sharma completed a Bachelor's degree in General Studies and Humanities at Delhi University from 1998 to 2000. Sachin then pursued a degree in Hotel Management with a specialization in Hospitality Administration/Management at the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition in Mumbai from 1993 to 1996. In 2013, Sachin attended the London Business School and obtained a Masters in Management degree. Sachin furthered their education in 2018 at the Columbia Business School, where they received a certification in Digital Strategies for Business - Leading the next generation enterprise.
