Chip Cushman

Managing Director at Golub Capital

Chip Cushman has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Chip started their career in 1989 as a Senior Consultant at Kenneth Leventhal & Co. (Ernst & Young), where they worked until 1993. In 1994, Chip joined Bankers Trust Company, which later became BT Alex. Brown after acquiring Alex. Brown. Chip held various roles within the company until 1999 when Deutsche Bank acquired BT Alex. Brown. At Deutsche Bank Securities, Chip served as a Managing Director in the Financial Sponsors group, leading leveraged loan, high yield, equity, and advisory transactions for private equity firms and their portfolio companies. In 2007, they joined Oaktree Capital Management as a Managing Director and remained until 2013 when they moved to GE Antares. At GE Antares, Chip continued as a Managing Director until 2015 when they joined Golub Capital, where they currently hold the position of Managing Director.

Chip Cushman attended Colgate University from 1986 to 1989, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Chip then went on to pursue their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from UCLA Anderson School of Management, specializing in Finance and Real Estate, from 1993 to 1995.
