Nicolas Vayias

Nicolas Vayias is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the IoT and software development sectors. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at Motive since July 2019, Nicolas has developed a high-performance MQTT message pipeline, an OTA upgrade system for IoT devices, and a comprehensive cell-connectivity monitoring solution. Prior to this, Nicolas was a Software Engineer at Coffee Meets Bagel, contributing to a serverless Content-Moderation pipeline and optimizing the application’s PostgreSQL performance. Additional experience includes backend engineering at Skyscanner, where Nicolas migrated infrastructure to AWS and managed geospatial data. Early career roles included positions as a Data Engineer and Software Engineer Intern, complemented by leadership experience as a Second Lieutenant in the National Guard. Nicolas Vayias holds a Bachelor's degree in Computing from Imperial College London.
