Senior Strategic Customer Success Manager at Gong

Charles Nguyen has extensive work experience in customer success and account management roles. Charles is currently a Senior Strategic Customer Success Manager at Gong since October 2021. Prior to that, they were an ODCS Fellow at On Deck starting from July 2021.

Previously, Charles worked at Airtable as a Customer Success Manager for Major Accounts from August 2020 to October 2021, and as a Customer Success Manager for Strategic Accounts from June 2020 to October 2021. Charles also held the position of Director, Strategic Customer Success at Copper from May 2016 to April 2020.

Before that, Charles had brief roles as a Client Success Manager at Wiser in February 2016 and a Client Success Manager at Symphony Commerce from July 2015 to December 2015. At Symphony Commerce, they successfully led the implementation and change management of a new e-commerce platform, resulting in increased portfolio conversion rate, average order value, and revenue.

Prior to that, Charles was a Customer Success Manager at Avangate from January 2015 to July 2015, where they achieved a 20% year-over-year portfolio growth for top 30 SaaS clients by optimizing checkout flow and payment strategies.

Charles also served as the eCommerce Manager at Kobo from April 2013 to December 2014, driving significant sales volume increase and leading cross-functional teams for new country launches. Earlier, they worked as a Product Marketing Manager for Tablets at Kobo Inc. from April 2012 to June 2013.

Charles started their career as a Product Manager at Telus Mobility from January 2011 to April 2012.

Charles Nguyen attended the University of Waterloo from 1999 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Engineering. In 1997 to 1999, they attended Marianopolis College and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pure and Applied Sciences. Charles then pursued further education at the University of Toronto, specializing in Management of Innovation. Charles completed their Master of Management of Innovation degree in 2008 to 2009, with a focus on Strategy, Marketing, Finance, and Project Management. In 2015, Charles obtained a certification as a Customer Success Manager from Gainsight.
