Joel Broadbent

Joel Broadbent has a strong background in business intelligence and data management. Joel is currently serving as the Senior Director of Business Intelligence at Gong since May 2022. Previously, they worked at Divvy | Inc. as the Director of Data. In this role, they led a centralized data team and utilized various tools such as DBT, Fivetran, Snowflake, Tableau Cloud, and Gitlab for data warehouse and business intelligence purposes. Prior to that, Joel held the position of Senior Manager Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing and Staff Business Intelligence Engineer at Divvy | Inc. Joel also worked as a Principal Data Engineer at Ivanti, where they developed ETL jobs and SQL stored procedures for automated reporting and data analysis using tools like PowerBi, Xtraction, DOMO, and SAP Business Objects. Before Ivanti, Joel worked as a Consultant Data Center Migration Lead at Dell EMC and Supervisor of APAC Customer Support at SirsiDynix. Joel started their career as a Technical Sales and Service representative at Broadbent Resources, Inc., supporting various power and equipment solutions. Joel also briefly worked as a Systems Engineer at Cerner Corporation, troubleshooting and advising customers on software applications.

Joel Broadbent has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Information/Database Administration & Business Intelligence from Boston University. Joel also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Information Technology from Utah Valley University.

In addition to their degrees, Joel has obtained several certifications. In 2014, they earned the Data Science Associate certification from EMC. In 2013, Joel obtained the VMware VTSP certification and the VSP certification from VMware. Joel also received the Binary Tree certification and the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from PEOPLECERT in the same year. Prior to that, in 2013, they obtained the Information Storage Associate Version 2 certification from Dell EMC.
