Good Sense Foods
Dean Giroux has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Dean started their career in the US Navy, serving from 1978 to 1998 in various roles related to submarine nuclear mechanical operations and repair. Following their service in the Navy, Giroux joined ConAgra Foods and worked as a packaging and process equipment mechanic, quality and sanitation department manager, and contract manufacturing manager. From 2007 to 2012, they worked at Waymouth Farms, first as the VP of Operations and then as the VP of Technical Services. Giroux then served as the plant manager at Angie's Artisan Treats, LLC from 2012 to 2015 and as an independent consultant specializing in manufacturing leadership from 2015 to 2017. Since 2017, Giroux has worked as the Vice President of Quality at Waymouth Farms.
Dean Giroux earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology/Technician from Thomas Edison State University between 2000 and 2001. Dean then went on to complete a Master of Science (MS) degree in Manufacturing Systems from the University of St. Thomas from 2001 to 2005.

In 1976, Gerry Knight started Waymouth Farms in the garage of his Minnesota home, where he hand-mixed his favorite nuts, seeds and fruits into delicious, nutrient-dense, healthy Good Sense® snacks. Word spread and soon he had a successful business making snacks for local grocery stores. Today, Waymouth Farms is operating as Good Sense Foods. We are a family-owned, family-run company committed to producing high-quality foods crafted with whole-food ingredients in New Hope, Minnesota. Our brands include Salad Pizazz!®, delicious, clean salad and veggie toppings that enhance any meal experience, as well as Good Sense, our line of great-tasting, nutrient-dense, better-for-you snacks. Our products are always crafted with few, simple, clean ingredients.
