Raquel Breternitz

Raquel Breternitz is an accomplished design leader currently serving as the Founding Lead Designer at GoodDay Software, focusing on software development for retail and consumer brands. Previously, Raquel held the position of Staff Product Designer at Shopify, contributing strategic design to the Polaris Design System and App Design Guidelines. As Head of Design at Aperture Health, Raquel established a product design department and led a tech transformation with an emphasis on user-centered design and accessibility. Other notable roles include Lead Product Designer at The New York Times, Design Director for Warren for President, and positions at Pivotal Software, IBM, and Autostraddle. Raquel holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from The University of Texas at Austin, along with a certification as a Founding Design Fellow from On Deck.
