Senior Backend Developer at Goodkind

Willian Alves has a diverse work experience in software development and research. Willian started their career as an Electronics Technician at Perto S.A., where they assisted with production and testing of dispensing ATMs. Willian then worked as an Undergraduate Research Student at PET-Informática PUCRS, contributing to the development of an Android application and training a convolutional neural network.

Afterwards, Willian joined PUCRS - Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul as a Researcher in the Cloud Project (PDTI-Dell), where they implemented IT infrastructure, automated tasks using Ansible, and developed web applications with Django.

Willian then worked at SAP in multiple roles. As a Software Developer in the Cloud Service Center, they developed customized extensions for SAP Learning Management System for high-profile clients. In the Innovative Business Solutions team, they focused on front-end development of the Deal Capture application using SAPUI5 and TypeScript. Lastly, as a Software Developer in the Language Experience Lab, they developed back-end components using Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, and NestJS, integrating PostgreSQL and HANA databases.

Currently, Willian is working at Goodkind as a Back-end Developer.

Willian Alves began their education in 2012 at EEP Senai Ney Damasceno Ferreira, where they pursued vocational education in Maintenance Mechanics until 2013. Willian then attended Fundação Bradesco from 2014 to 2015, where they obtained a Technician Education in Electronics. Willian went on to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul from 2017 to 2020.

In terms of additional certifications, Willian acquired numerous qualifications. In 2016, they estimated that they achieved fluency in Spanish and English through Duolingo. In 2018, they obtained certifications in Python and Django Full Stack Web Development, Python for Data Science and Machine Learning, Learning JavaFX GUI Development, and Spring: Framework In Depth, from Udemy and Lynda.com respectively. Most recently, in 2022, they completed a certification in React: Design Patterns offered by LinkedIn.
