Nate Swenson

Nate Swenson has extensive experience in the field of engineering and DevOps. Their most recent position was as a Senior DevOps Engineer at GoodLeap, starting in November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Fannie Mae from June 2021 to November 2022 as a Lead Associate in DevOps Engineering.

From December 2020 to June 2021, Nate was a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer at Discover Financial Services, where they were responsible for upgrading Ansible Tower.

Before that, Nate worked at Optum from January 2016 to December 2020 in various roles, including Lead DevOps Engineer and DevOps Engineer - Community Lead. In these positions, they led a team focused on creating stronger internal Agile and Engineering communities, developed training focused on TDD and XP practices, and automated testing and deployments using various tools.

Prior to Optum, Nate was a Remote Automation Systems Engineer at Novaspect from December 2013 to January 2016, where they led a team responsible for developing and installing the Remote Automation Systems product.

Nate's earlier experience includes working as a Controls Engineer at JDP Automation Inc. from April 2012 to November 2013, where they upgraded industrial control software for pipeline sites, and as a Manufacturing Engineer at Rapat Corporation from May 2010 to April 2012, where they managed training documentation, initiated Lean initiatives, and utilized Visio for mapping and layout design.

Nate Swenson graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Industrial Engineering. Nate also obtained various certifications in the field of project management, such as Certified Scrum Developer®, Certified Scrum Prodcut Owner, Certified Scrum Professional, and Certified ScrumMaster®. In addition, they earned the SAFe Agilist (SA) certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. Nate is also recognized as an Engineer In Training, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
