Ata Younan

Ata Younan is the current Publicity Manager at Goodman Theatre. Prior to this, they worked as a Civic Reporting Fellow at City Bureau from June 2021 to September 2021. There, they examined the relationship between industrial expansion and Chicago’s Little Village working-class community. They also have experience working in production and stage management. From September 2018 to March 2020, they were the Stage Manager at Stage Center Theatre. And from August 2019 to November 2019, they were the Opinions Editor at The Independent where they researched, conducted interviews and wrote articles according to a biweekly publishing schedule.

Ata Younan has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Media and Theatre from Northeastern Illinois University. Ata also has a 200 Hour Teacher Certificate in Yoga Teacher Training/Yoga Therapy from Nature Yoga Sanctuary. Ata has also done Improvization from The Second City and TV Pilot Presentation from The Comedy Lab at iO. Ata is certified as a Yoga Instructor from Yoga Alliance and as a Pharmacy Technician from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
