Philip Lam

Philip Lam has a diverse and accomplished work experience. Philip currently holds the position of VP of Engineering at GoodNotes since March 2022. Prior to this, they were involved in various roles at different organizations. Philip co-founded FoundersHK in 2020, where they worked as a Co-Founder, Mentor, and Mentorship program coordinator. Philip also served as a Mentor at first round and as a Mentor/Startup Advisor at Founder Institute. Philip also co-founded Nex Inc. in 2017, where they focused on creating new play experiences. Philip has been a Mentor at Blackbox and held positions at Apple and Microsoft as a Software Engineering Manager, Software Engineer, and Software Development Engineer. Philip started their career as a Research Assistant at The University of British Columbia, where they conducted research in the field of Computer Science.

Philip Lam has a diverse education history. Philip participated in a 1-year exchange program at Simon Fraser University, where they focused on Mathematics and Physics. Philip then pursued their undergraduate degree at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Philip furthered their education at The University of British Columbia, where they completed a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, specializing in Algorithm and Bioinformatics. In addition to their academic qualifications, they also obtained a certification in Global Social Entrepreneurship from the Berkeley Haas School of Business through Philanthropy University in March 2016.
