Catalina Pérez

Catalina Pérez has a diverse work experience in information design and illustration. Catalina most recently worked as a Senior Information Designer at GoodRx, starting in November 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Stamen from October 2018 to November 2021 as an Information Designer.

From 2013 to 2021, Catalina worked at their own company, Catalina Plé, where they served as an Information Designer and Illustrator. Their responsibilities included creating illustrations, infographics, maps, and visual assets for various mediums such as books, magazines, blogs, apps, and tech products. Catalina collaborated with interdisciplinary teams and delivered different stages of projects.

In 2017, they were a book illustrator at Grupo Planeta for a period of six months. In 2015, they worked as a book author, commissioned by Grupo Planeta to create a book with infographics, illustrations, and a final diploma.

Catalina also has experience as an illustrator and animator at Wire™ in 2015, as an information designer and consultant at Grupo RBA in 2014, and as a guest lecturer at IED Barcelona and Universidad de Caldas in 2014.

Their earlier work experience includes being an associate professor at Universidad Autonoma de Manizales from 2003 to 2011, where they also served as the Head of Design & Art Department and was an Advisory Board Member from 2007 to 2008. At Universidad de Caldas, they worked as a guest lecturer from 2007 to 2014, providing guidance on visual narratives, research, and final dissertations for Masters Degree students.

Catalina Pérez's education history includes a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree in Architecture from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Additionally, they hold a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Art History from the Universidad de Antioquia.
