Cecily Marroquin

Cecily Marroquin's work experience starts with a role as a Volunteer Teaching Assistant for the AP Computer Science course at the Microsoft TEALS Program. Cecily then worked as a Software Engineer Intern at GoodRx before joining Ada Developers Academy as a Software Engineering Student. In this role, they gained skills in Test Driven Development, Agile practices, pair programming, leadership, and inclusion. Prior to their tech career, Cecily held various positions at the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics, including Associate Director of Administrative Operations and Program Coordinator. Cecily also served as the Chair of the ABMS Conference and was a Co-Chair and Advisory Committee Member. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The George Washington University and as a Visiting Student Researcher at the Smithsonian Institution. Cecily also had experience as a Data Resource Management Assistant at the National Park Service and as a Volunteer and Research Associate at the Institute for the Preservation of Medical Traditions.

Cecily Marroquin has a diverse education history that includes various degrees and certifications. Cecily attended The George Washington University from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Anthropology with concentrations in Medical Anthropology and International Development. Cecily then pursued a Graduate Certificate in Human-Centered Healthcare from Parsons School of Design - The New School in 2020.

Prior to their graduate studies, Cecily Marroquin completed their undergraduate education at New Mexico State University from 2006 to 2011. Cecily earned a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Anthropology and a minor in Geography.

Additionally, in 2009, Cecily Marroquin had the opportunity to participate in a Study Abroad program at the University of Alberta, School in Cortona. The focus of their studies during this program was Italian Language.

Furthermore, Cecily Marroquin has obtained a recent certification. In July 2022, they completed the Ada Developers Academy Core Program, which was offered by Ada Developers Academy, a recognized institution.
