Laura Kennedy

Laura Kennedy currently works as a Lead Designer for the GoodRx Design System Team at GoodRx. Laura is responsible for managing the work of multiple system designers and mentoring them. Their main role involves creating and managing a consistent design language to guide the development of product features.

Prior to their current role, Laura served as a Senior Product Designer at Centro from 2019 to 2021. During their time there, they led the creation of Centro's new design system and established foundational design primitives, tokens, and guidelines for designers and developers.

Before that, Laura worked as a Senior Visual Designer at Uptake from 2018 to 2019. Laura contributed new components to an existing design system and built them in a systematic and reusable way. Laura also designed components against multiple themes, including light and dark mode.

Laura also has experience as a Freelance Senior Designer at Simple Truth in 2017, a Senior Art Director at Norton Agency from 2016 to 2017, a Senior Designer at Movéo from 2013 to 2016, an Art Director at The Sandbox Agency (formerly GA Communication Group) from 2010 to 2013, and an Art Director at Launch Creative Marketing (now known as HANGAR12) from 2006 to 2010.

Laura Kennedy attended Drake University from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design.
