Sarah Zalar

Sarah Zalar is a dedicated veterinarian currently working at GoodVets since October 2023, where there is a focus on compassionate care for pets and support for their owners, as well as the training of veterinary support staff and new veterinarians. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate Veterinarian at Banfield Pet Hospital from May 2021 to October 2023 and tutoring veterinary students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign between August 2018 and March 2021. Sarah Zalar has also gained practical experience through various roles, including a Veterinary Student Extern at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, a Summer Research Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, and multiple positions at Midwest Animal Hospital. Educationally, Sarah Zalar holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Purdue University.
