Dhanyal Davidson is the Associate Partner in our Southern Africa investment team.

Based in Cape Town, he leads the Southern African portfolio. As Chief Valuation Officer, Dhanyal is also responsible for valuations covering 21 investments. Dhanyal is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities and manages the entire deal process. During his two years with Goodwell he has overseen four deals across multiple sectors in Southern Africa, including South Africa, Zambia and Mozambique.

Dhanyal is a registered Chartered Account and has spent time working with Deloitte internationally in audit, consulting and project management before working with two of South Africa’s largest asset managers both in front and middle office. His passion for innovation saw him co-found two business ventures – one in fintech and one in financial literacy. The culmination of these experiences brought him to Goodwell Investments.

The fintech Dhanyal co-founded focused on micro-savings saw him gain a valuable understanding of the underserved and the opportunities within this space.
