Basil Buchko

Basil Buchko, JD, MBA, currently serves as the VP, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer at Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin, Inc., since April 2020. Prior to this role, Basil held the position of Executive Vice President-Legal & Compliance at Van Horn Automotive Group from 2011 to April 2020, where responsibilities included managing a wide array of legal matters related to mergers and acquisitions, human resources, and regulatory compliance. Basil's legal experience also includes serving as General Counsel for a major Wisconsin automobile dealership and as an attorney at Kirchner & Buchko Law Office, S.C., focusing on business law and bankruptcy. Earlier experience includes operating a solo practice covering various legal areas. Basil holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Juris Doctorate from Notre Dame Law School, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Lake Superior State University.
