Danny Whitfield has a diverse work experience in the media industry. Danny is currently serving as the Head of Events Media at The Goodwood Group since 2023. Prior to this, from 2020 to 2023, they co-founded Dramadan and held the positions of CEO and Creative Director, specializing in returnable formats and building passion projects.

From 2018 to 2020, Danny worked as the Head of Development at Barcroft Studios, where they led a team passionate about storytelling and secured commissions from various broadcasters. Danny also worked as a Development Producer at Chalkboard Productions from April 2018 to October 2018, creating exciting programming ideas and winning commissions for major TV channels.

Before that, they were a Development Entertainment Producer at Spun Gold TV from February 2017 to April 2018. In 2016, they served as a Development Executive at Kalel Productions Limited. From 2014 to 2016, Danny was the Head of Development and Series Director at Knickerbockerglory, developing unique formats and directing series for E4 and 4OD.

Danny's early experience includes a role as Head of Digital, Soaps at ITV Studios from 2010 to 2013, where they developed digital products and produced original VOD content. Danny also worked as a Development Producer in both factual and entertainment genres at ITV Studios.

Prior to that, from 2009 to 2010, they worked as a Digital Drama Producer at the BBC, creating original content for drama serials and managing innovative projects. Additionally, Danny worked as a DVD Producer at Centre Pompidou from 2009 to 2010, producing a DVD for commercial sales for an exhibition featuring artist Lucian Freud.

Danny Whitfield attended Bishop Luffa School from 1988 to 1996. Danny then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Drama at the University of Bristol from 1998 to 2001.
