Karen Walker

Karen Walker has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Karen began their career at Gillette UK Ltd as a Finance Analyst from September 1993 to May 1997. Karen then joined EDS Group and worked as an Advanced Finance Analyst from May 1997 to January 2000. Following this, Karen worked at Dairy Crest as a Financial Reporting and Forecasting Manager from February 2000 to April 2001. Karen took a career break from April 2001 to April 2003. Karen then returned to the EDS Group as a Senior Finance Manager from April 2003 to September 2005, where they were responsible for the reporting and accuracy of management and statutory accounts. Karen also provided advice on commercial negotiation issues and presented significant risks to the Audit Committee. From September 2005 to February 2007, Karen served as a Contract and Commercial Manager at EDS Group. Karen then joined BT and held various roles including Head of Bid Finance from February 2007 to July 2007, Head of Managed Contract Performance from July 2007 to September 2011, and Financial Controller - BT TSO from October 2011 to April 2013. Currently, Karen is working at The Goodwood Group as an Events Financial Controller since January 2014. Karen briefly transitioned to the role of E&H Financial Controller in September 2020 and resumed their position as Events Financial Controller in April 2021.

Karen Walker attended St Martins Comprehensive in Hutton, Brentwood, Essex from 1982 to 1989, where they completed their A Levels. Karen then went on to study at the University of East Anglia from 1990 to 1993, earning a BSc in Business Finance & Economics. Finally, they completed their education at The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, obtaining the ACMA qualification in 1996.
