Akshay Rao

Akshay Rao is a Staff Data Scientist at Google since 2024, following a notable tenure at ZipRecruiter from 2019 to 2024, where roles included Senior Manager of Decision Science, Manager of Data Science, and Senior Data Scientist. Prior to ZipRecruiter, Akshay worked as a Data Scientist at Stitch Fix from 2016 to 2019. Earlier experiences include a stint as Research Data Analyst at UC Berkeley, a Research Assistant at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Research Associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Research Fellow at Stanford Law School, and a Summer Analyst at Qatalyst Partners. Akshay holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from Yale University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
