Aziz Orumbaev is currently a Technical Program Manager for Hardware Safety Compliance at Google, where they focus on designing, analyzing, and testing products like Pixel and Nest for safety and compliance with international standards. Previously, they worked as a Product Safety Engineer at Apple from 2013 to 2018 and held the role of Associate Project Engineer at UL from 2010 to 2013. Aziz also served as both Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Product Safety Engineering Society with IEEE in 2015. They earned a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from NYU Tandon School of Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Stony Brook University.
