Mitja T.

Mitja T. is a Senior Software Engineer at Google since July 2024, working on the Google Gemini project. Previously, Mitja led a team at Oasis Labs from December 2019 to July 2024, developing the official blockchain indexer for the Oasis L1 blockchain and EVM chains and implementing API and data ingestion pipelines. Earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Software Engineer on the Google Assistant team, a Data Scientist at Twitter focused on tweet language identification, and internships at Google, Twitter, and Facebook. Mitja has a solid academic background with a PhD in Machine Learning with a focus on text mining from the University of Ljubljana, complemented by a BSc in Computer Science and Math.
