Pedro Tanaka has extensive experience in software development and engineering management, beginning with a role as a research assistant at UC Berkeley and progressing to positions at leading technology companies including Google, Amazon, and Ericsson. Tanaka served as a software development manager at Amazon from June 2017 to September 2020 and currently holds the position of engineering manager at Google. Other notable roles include founder of Drufus, software engineer positions at Qualcomm, Symantec, AdRoll, and a team lead at Ericsson. Tanaka has a background in mathematics and electrical engineering, earning an AS from Foothill College and a BS from the University of California, Berkeley. Additional leadership development was gained through participation in the Latino Board Leadership Academy.
