Seth Vargo

Seth Vargo is a Principal Software Engineer at Google since December 2017, overseeing the use of public cloud across Alphabet and affiliated companies. With a strong background in software engineering, Seth has previously served as a Senior Staff Engineer at Google, contributing to secure public cloud consumption, leading the development of significant tools such as Google Secret Manager, and engaging in community outreach through speaking and blogging. Prior experience includes roles at HashiCorp as Director of Technical Advocacy, where Seth developed training programs and promoted HashiCorp products, and release engineering at Chef. Seth's early career featured various positions at Carnegie Mellon University and leadership at start-ups, showcasing a diverse skill set in software development, education, and technical advocacy. Seth holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University.
