Tobie Langel

Tobie Langel is a seasoned professional in open tech ecosystems and web standards, currently serving as Principal & Managing Partner at UnlockOpen since March 2014. Langel has extensive advisory experience with Google, contributing to the AMP project's governance and W3C Web IDL specification. As a Senior Fellow with the Omidyar Network, Langel offers guidance on open source sustainability and policy. Previous positions include roles at Intel Corporation and Facebook, where Langel led web standards strategy and development efforts, including the Service Worker API. Langel's education includes studies at McGill University and the University of Geneva, alongside foundational schooling in Switzerland.
