Weile Wei, PhD, is an accomplished software engineer specializing in high-performance computing and software infrastructure. Currently at Google since 2024, Weile is part of the Arm server performance team and is an ISO C++ member. Prior experience includes serving as an HPC Performance Engineer at Berkeley Lab, where Weile led projects on advanced C++ applications, and as a Research Scientist at Meta focused on AI infrastructure. Internship roles at TikTok, Facebook, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory provided extensive experience in distributed systems, file systems, and scientific applications, while participation in Google Summer of Code highlighted contributions to concurrency and parallelism in C++. Weile holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Louisiana State University.
