Yan Deng

Yan Deng is a Tech Lead and Software Engineer at Google since September 2016, specializing in machine learning models and algorithms for ranking and recommendation within the search ranking quality team, as well as image models and multimodal learning at Google Research. Prior experience includes a Software Engineer Intern role at Google in 2015 and a Research Engineer position at Micron Technology from June 2011 to July 2012. Yan Deng holds a PhD in Optimization (Operations Research) from the University of Michigan, a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cambridge, and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Tsinghua University, along with an exchange student experience at Aalto University.
